HLAA Staff Member Toni Barrient Retires

After nine years as a national staff member of the Hearing Loss Association of America, Toni Barrient will retire on February 4, 2011. Executive Director Brenda Battat offers her thanks on behalf of the Board of Trustees, staff, and the membership. “We appreciate Toni’s years of dedicated service to this organization. She has been responsible for innovations that helped us transition to the information technology age, which included our popular HLAA Webinars.”

Toni also served as long-time director of chapter development until March 2010 when she became director of member services and business manager. She is moving to her home state of California and hopes to spend more time with her growing family as well as work part-time. Toni says: “I will still be involved at the local level and volunteer on behalf of HLAA.”

  1. Toni will be missed. She is one of my favorite HLAA staff members! She has worked tirelessly for so long, and she is a wonderful person too! HLAA has been more than just a job for her... she really loves people with hearing loss. She will be impossible to replace! Best to you, Toni!
