This year’s nomination instructions are still on the leadership support page. See the criteria needed for an award for each category.

Dear Leaders,

The excitement is now is really heating up in preparation for the Nashville Convention. I am hearing about the many, many chapters sending either their leaders or a proxy. I am looking forward to seeing each and every delegate and chapter leader.

Thanks to the Rocky Stone Endowment fund scholarships and sponsorships, we will have a nice core group of young adults and look forward to seeing them all have a great time and hope they will become involved in chapters.

Congratulations to those Chapters and States who will receive special recognition for their contributions to the Founder’s Day Appeal. See the list of those recipients below.

* The Montgomery County Chapter wanted to help send more young adults to the HLAA
Nashville Convention. They gave $500 earned from their local Walk4Hearing and challenged
chapters to meet or exceed their contribution. Read the complete challenge on the leaders list.
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/HLAA-LeadersList/message/8365

National has received commitments to meeting the challenge from:

Greater St. Louis Chapter
Pennsylvania State Office
Northern Virginia Chapter
Boulder Chapter
Denver Chapter

We are appreciative to the Montgomery County Chapter for the challenge and the responding chapters for investing in the future young adults who may not otherwise have become involved with HLAA. These young adults are the future of HLAA and potential chapter leaders.
We applaud your efforts and if your chapter is still considering accepting the challenge please submit your pledge by May 24th at the latest.
